In 2008 Deck Pros Inc. started an initiative to limit the waste we generate
as a company through building remnants and deck removal. This contribution may
seem insignificant at first glance, but each year we estimate generating over 150
tons of waste in deck removal and replacement alone. That's over 300,000 pounds
of recyclable lumber that would otherwise be deposited in landfills.
In 2010, nearly 80 percent of the waste we
generated was delivered to recycling centers to be turned into Mulch and given new
life.
We are committed to limiting our carbon footprint on the environment and
promoting sustainable construction practices.In an effort to remain environmentally friendly, Deck Pros Inc. will
continue to expand our use of sustainable building materials, while decreasing
non-recyclable waste
